Does happiness require distortion?
« on: April 26, 2009, 12:06:13 PM »
Here's an interesting article on marriage that suggests that marital happiness and distortion are related:  Denial Can Bring Marital Bliss     http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090424/sc_livescience/denialcanbringmaritalbliss

Reminded me of Cordelia Fine's book on the reading list (genetics/neuroscience/evolutionary psychology section):   A Mind of Its Own:  How Your Brain Distorts and Deceives.

Interesting! Perception is a fascinating study... and the study of perception and how it influences personal choice, is so useful to those of us rebuilding selves and lives. Especially when we examine our own perceptions....
Success is never final, failure is never fatal.
