Ns Can Never Be Quiet
« on: May 19, 2009, 07:25:34 AM »
I think because they have no peace in their souls, Ns can never be silent. Being around NM means a constant stream of commentary. She will say anything just to be talking. She can never let anyone else converse. You can't watch a show with her b/c she talks the whole way through. Do your Ns talk constantly???

Yes, (((Beth)))), I think that b/c they do not have a solid identity, it torments them. I am seeing that my own road is to develop  a more solid identity. I guess they stopped growing at such a young emotional age that they did not go through the stages necessary to develop any sort of self. Hence, they race endlessly on the outside.
Those are my thoughts,at the moment, from my own struggles to find a solid self myself.
 Is your NM visiting?     Ami

Yes they do Beth with one exception at least in my case.  My father will constantly monologue, comment, and issue his opinions, EXCEPT if someone else actually solicits his thoughts.  Then he will shut up and claim he has no opinion, or it's not his problem.   He doesn't want to get caught in a possible actual dialogue.   It's very aggravating but I have used the tendency to advantage a few times to get him to shut up. :D

Ami, NM came to visit about two months ago. But I talked to her on the phone recently and it reminded me that I meant to see if others had the same experience...

Silver, that is funny- I haven't noticed about them clamming up if you solicit info. I do know that when you go past her knoledge (usually one fact she has repeated over and over), she changes the subject and gets agitated.
