For the wounded veterans from the other board, I've just learned that one of the trouble-makers has just been BANNED by Dr. Karyl and she has, personally, responded to our numerous messages of concern!  She is actively working on having her website actively moderated so we will not have a repeat performance of the NTrolls!  HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :D

Bones, Joy, CGM, Binks!!!  I am so glad that you found me!  I look so forward to getting to know the veterans and newbies on this site.

Hi Weary,
I'm glad you're sick of her.

That's a sign of burgeoning health.

Glad you're here to share the healing journey.

Welcome,

Hops

Hops, I needed to hear that statement today.  I really did!  Thank you!

Guilt is my constant companion.

Your mom seems to be short companions; maybe you could introduce her to yours and he'd lose interest in you.

Welcome weary, your in a good place. There are definitely many people in your shoes. Normal people just don't understand when I tell them I wouldn't ever kill my mother but I wouldn't stop a bullet for her either. Welcome

Mud:

I like that!  However, I guess that my mother has more "companions" than I initially realized.  She has:

1.  "Anger"
2.  "Bitterness"
3.  "Blame"
4.  "Envy"
5.  "Fear"
6.  "Isolation"
7.  "Superiority"

Hi Bones,
Good to see you too! I'm not sure that the "ban" was a choice. People were aggressively questioning the morality of letting that abuse go on. I feel very safe here with Dr. Grossman and appreciate his candor in sharing who he is with us.

I understand, Sealynx!

I'll be monitoring the developments as they continue and see what happens.  I'm just relieved that "Big D" was removed!!!!

Hi WOH,

Quote
(the guilt from not visiting or calling.)

Full disclosure; my parents were pretty normal and I had a normal, relatively happy childhood. I have a sibling, who after we were grown, clearly manifests NPD.
I am 'no contact' with this sibling and feel zero guilt about it; the sibling is guilty not me.

Do you think this guilt you feel is because it is your mother and the attendant childhood issues that brings, or is guilt or lack of same an individual issue regardless of what age or the relationship to the N?
What role does gender play in guilt I wonder, as well. (I'm a guy, one of the few here)
