Grateful for this board, thank you Dr. G
« on: September 18, 2010, 07:44:48 AM »
Dear friends:

I was recently found Not Guilty of very seriouse charges involving domestic violence.

A year and a half struggle to exit a dangerous marriage ended in tragedy, and I was facing life in prison.

I want to thank everyone here who bolstered me up, soothed my fears and held my hand.

They gifted me their wisdom, experience and filters.........

and for that I'm eternally grateful.

I also want to thank Dr. G for the gift of this board..... a light in the distant dark.

Love,
Lighter//Margo/Mo2

Lighter,

Very good news.  Thank you so much for updating us.

And you know that, now, you have some real work to do healing from that trauma.  If you are like me, you had to focus only on your kids and what would be happening in court.  Now, you must deal with the very real PTSD that is bound to be haunting you.

Much, much good wishes to you Lighter.

Freedom and peace to you and the girls always...

...and healing, too. I think PTSD makes great sense and
I know you will get the right kind of help for you and
the children.

So very glad it's over -- I don't know how you stood it.

with love,

Great, Mo2, just great news to hear.

I am so happy to hear that that part is over, and I wish you well in life as it unfolds for the future of you and your daughters.

You're right, CB.

Focus on the kids has been everything these past 5 years.

I haven't thought much about what I'll do next.

I'll say this.......

my husbands character was very well represented in court by the people who knew him best.......his father and mistress.

Everyone in that courtroom heard about his worst behavior...... sex addiction, domestic abuse and final plan to hide family assets, abandoning me and the children.

They heard concrete evidence from the finest blood splatter expert in the country, who provided the truth about my husband's final assault, and the unavoidable tragedy that followed.

I've spent so many years trying to explain what happened to me...... and there it was, layed out by the prosecution.

For them, it was "motive."

For me............

it was exercising demons.

Once demons are exorcised... they can't even return as ghosts. (Sez me!)
A horrible, scary chapter to be sure - and lonnnnnng for you - but fact is, that it was still only 1 chapter.

I'm working on new T for me and the girls.

Sometimes I feel the demons have gone....

and sometimes I feel them, unexpected, and close.

Hey Mof2,

I'm so happy it's over.  I'm so happy to hear the good news.  I got your hand through your healing.  I know, I know.  It's difficult getting through the pain.

I don't have anything other to say then everyone else here.......got your hand.   I know it's hard.

Love
Deb

(((Deb)))

I wish you and I had been closer when I first began posting here.

Everything's turned around for me, btw.

It feels like I'm on the right path...... everything keeps falling in place.

New school, new house, new dog and new State.

I hardly look back..... there's just no time.
