"Stones in His Pockets" at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston
« on: March 02, 2013, 01:56:31 PM »
Hi everybody,

For those in the Boston area, The Lyric Stage Company of Boston is currently featuring a wonderful play about voicelessness entitled “Stones in His Pockets” by Marie Jones.  The play, directed by Courtney O’Connor, is set in rural Ireland and depicts local residents who are “extras” in a Hollywood film being shot on location.  The “extras” plus members of the film company including cast members, director, security, etc. are played by two marvelous actors, Daniel Berger-Jones and  Phil Tayler, who jump quickly between parts (male and female, old and young, movie star, film crew, and local residents!)  That the two actors can pull this off convincingly, humorously, and touchingly is amazing—yet they do it!

One of the best plays I have seen in years and highly recommended!
