Guests arrived a few days ago....loved the cottage. Housekeeper stocked the fridge with local beer and a bottle of bubbly.
They check out in 2 days.

Guests, family of 5, checking in this afternoon. They availed themselves to the fridge stocking service....$230 grocery bill, from 6 stores....$45 shopping fee.
That's a crazy, no brainer luxury service worth so much more, to parents traveling with younger children, IME. And they're taking the Fast Ferry, blech. Such a long day of struggle.
Housekeeper hunts down the freshest produce.....takes pride in every selection she makes, from bread to wine. I noticed, on the package store receipt, she found sauternes!
They're booking sea captain to feed the rays and nurse sharks.
I'm glad there's a shift to joy, helping families have wonderful vacations, instead of regret over my kids missing out, bc I mostly worked every trip......until recently. My brother pushes me to play and mine joy.

Guest left 5 Star review, despite no-see-ums bites, reported as "bedbugs," but guests talked into understanding NOT bedbugs....only "clever beast no-see-ums" carried in by guests, as another guest wrote in prior 4 star review.
The bugs are tough, not gonna lie.
The stellar review, and relief of it....amazing.
Will navigate even more proactively, going forward.
A reminder.....my karma IS immediate. Touching the frog, no bueno.

There is an all natural ingredient spray called No-no-see-ums. It helps. I even spray it on soft furnishings if the cats or I are followed inside by the little buggers. I STILL get bit - no matter what repellent I use. Even the high content DEET doesn't protect me.
Lots of Afterbite, cold black tea bags on the bites in the shower, an ACV rinse... all help with the itching.
