borderline questions

Good morning, everybody---

I didn't want to hijack Newbie's thread(Nparents and control), but as I responded to Newbie's post, I had a question of my own:

I haven't been visiting this board for very long, but recently I have noticed discussions about borderline personality. After reading some of the posts, I have begun to wonder if my Nmother and Nsister might not also be B's, too("B" being "borderline," but I assure you, the other "B" word applies to them, too). Do any of you know of any books out there that could point me in the right direction re:educating myself about borderline personality?

I have read a whole library's worth of books about NPD, and I can tell you that my mother and sister's mug shots should be on each cover(they're "textbook cases"). But all of this discussion about Bpeople really has me wondering.

Any of your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

I don't have any suggestions for books, however have a couple of great websites that I use for school.

Hi, Portia--

A classic book on borderline is called "Stop Walking on Eggshells."  I'm reading it now and it's really good.

Yes!  I was hearing secret ESP messages telling me you wanted the advice...

Sorry....  I am going to have to continually plead pregnancy-brain.

PQC, I second "Stop Walking on Eggshells."  I am reading that one now as well.  I also have "I Hate You - Don't Leave Me," but I haven't read it yet.  Another book I have found very helpful is "Boundaries" by Cloud & Townsend.  This is more about what you can do to preserve your boundaries, which is critical around people with BoPD or NPD behavior.

- The only thing that was ever really wrong with me was that I used to think there was something wrong with *me*.  :)
