Stick to yer guns Katy.  You can do it.  It's for everyone's own good.  Don't waiver.  We're all rooting for ya!  I loved Plucky's suggestion of just hearing the nice parts of the letter.  I realize this is something I've been doing for years without realizing it.  In my mind I reason that I'm giving the other person the benefit of the doubt and assume I must not be reading it correctly or that the ugly parts are just toxic byproducts to be disgarded.
