Hops, like your subscript :)

I told my ER doc tonight about that doctor and he said some doctors like to act as though they are God. I told him that is what I said after the appointment - she was trying to be my guru or God. I don't need another God, got one and that is enough thanks. And besides He gives me choices and doesn't demand that I follow Him.

Thank you for all your insightful comments, suggestions, etc.

I talked to my therapist yesterday and told him all about this doctor. His one word was CONTEMPTUOUS, as in the doctor considered me unworthy of needing attention or respect.

My words are:
CONDESCENDING
DISRESPECTFUL
UNPROFESSIONAL

My therapist agreed with that.

His advice; take no advice from this doctor. Trust your gut. I am glad I listened to and trusted my gut last night. (See new topic starting with YIKES!! ...)

My therapist thinks she is a N.

He encouraged me to get a copy of my medical records. He said there are professional guidelines which a doctor must follow and he's positive she violated nearly the whole tamale.

I believe a letter of complaint is needed. I don't want to push for her dismissal. More I want to voice what happened and how that didn't help me medically.

My t also told me she has no business telling me I am depressed when she doesn't know how to diagnose mental disorders and illnesses. He said that is malpractice right there.

Any way I am going to look into it all and carefully compose my letter, sending it both to the association and the health department. At least that is my plan right now. May send it to only the assoc.

More to come when I get my other problem fixed or more alleviated.

I think a letter is definitely warranted.  I'm not surprised when  doctors consider psychosomatic causes, but to just make an outright conclusion seems completely irresponsible.  The association should be worried about potential malpractice suits.

The whole system is broke, IMO.  I've had far more negative experiences with the medical system in the last 10 years than positive, and the cost is absolutely absurd.  I usually have to figure things out on my own using the internet.

I have yet to compose a letter because of my current medical condition - Neovascularization Glaucoma - the official name for it.

However, now that the doctor knows I didn't like her attitude she is now playing CYA. She has insisted that I see a GI as well as the eye specialists because I had an abnormal liver function test. It may even be related to my eye problems. Anyway that is coming next after the eye doctor appointment.

In the meantime after the eye doc appoint. on Friday I will take time to compose a letter. I actually might bring my computer with me and do so long overdue writing in my journal.

Thank you everyone for all your precious feedback.

I am going to trust my gut and go for the letter describing my appointment and the doctor's ill founded recommendations.
