is anyone affected by this ice storm/ blizzards across the US?

Hope you are okay everyone, and you keep power to keep posting!

I used to hate being stuck indoors in tense situations, tonight I will head home to curl up with a movie.

And have the heating on- ex always wants everywhere so cold!

Hi Write:

Yesterday morning my H tried to look out the living room window but it was covered in ice.   Then he went to look out the kitchen windows, but they were covered in ice too.  He opened the door to let the dogs out but they wouldn't go!  Then he said:  "I'm not going anywhere the dogs won't go!!  Let's stay home today."

So we did.

Woodstove blazing.  Hot chicken soup.  Me sewing and him fixing an old tractor.  I love those kind of ice storms!!   Not a tense moment the entire day!

I am so glad no one is having a hard time with the weather. I saw a documentqry on ice storms and they can be aweful if they last more than five days or so. The lucky ones are those with wood heat.

Sometimes it can make me feel more helpless when the bad weather comes. The last time it snowed I felt afraid and worried about the heating bill and driving in my car. This time it snowed and it all seems manageable. I like the quiet of the snow. It is so beautiful.

I take it personally when it gets below 70o.
