Car accidents--question --
« on: January 26, 2007, 01:19:46 PM »
In one of the personality tests I took, I noticed the statement "You have many car accidents" then there are 5 radio buttons from which to choose from Very Inaccurate to Very Accurate. My choice was Very Inaccurate as I have had none, but been in one.

I wonder which personality trait has the most car accidents and wonder if it is the N, as the N here had many, as has my "newly discovered" N sister.

I found it odd to have that in a test when I saw it, and now I wonder

Any similarities?

Folks with ADHD would be at risk for car accidents, Iz, if they don't have a way to compensate. Too easily distracted, putting on their makeup or trying to read the paper... yes, there are people who try to read newspapers while they drive...

Folks who are high-functioning autistic or Asperger's would too, but for the opposite reason: too easily overfocused on one thing to the detriment of others.

Road rage babies would too, because all that huffing and puffing is going to lead to some fender benders at the very least, and the occasional crease in the side from cutting it too close next to a curb or sign or guardrail...

Edit in: that covers borderline PD and impulsive-aggressive disorders...

Ns would also have accidents, of course, because they expect the universe to adapt to THEM, not the other way around. Slow down because it's sleeting? Not THEM. Let the approaching car pass without pulling out at the last minute to cut him/her off? Perish the thought!

Absolutely Storm:  My mom drives down the street and fully expects the other cars to get out of HER way.  She drives in the left lane on the interstate when she is supposed to drive in the right.  She looks in the rear view mirror if you are in the back seat and makes sure she has eye contact with you as she talks to you and as she is driving.  Once when I was 15 she was falling asleep at the wheel.  I had a permit so begged her to let me drive.  I drove 200 miles while she snoozed!!  Anyway, I think she is so arrogant and has had so many fender benders.  She constantly backs into things.  But she doesn't care and she doesn't get her car fixed.  Drives a Cadillac with dings everywhere.........no one likes to drive with her because she is a well known BAD driver!!  But insists she is a great driver!

I don't want to alarm you kell, but your mother has been cloned about thirty million times and they're all out here in California.
