When they are older and telling their own children about their grandmother, they will be able to say that she stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her way -- and it surely has not -- she adjusted her sails.  Elizabeth Edwards 2010

Ya CB!  Wearing leathers and smoking a pipe!!

Do you think a lot of people are afraid of aging?  I do.  Our media makes such a big deal about looking young and paints a kind of negative picture of our elders, a lot of the time.  I remember, years ago, I worked in a residence where there was a gymnasium and I peaked in and saw a whole bunch of people playing badminton.  I looked at my peer and asked how old those people were and she said:  "Well, Mrs. X is 82 and Mr. Y is 78, and Ms. Z is....let me see.....84 or 85, I think..."and so on.  The whole team was over 75!  They were flying around like a team of highschoolers!

Is it death that makes people fear/dislike the thoughts of aging?

Well I like your motto CB!  It's way more fun than dreading the arrival at that door.
