Control Issues
« on: March 04, 2007, 03:20:38 PM »
Attempting to control the ebb and flow of emotions and communication on this Board is just that - control.

We all have the right to read, respond, peruse, enjoy, ignore, delete, copy and paste as we see fit.

Those who feel the need to control what others do are having an issue with control.

Misunderstandings, conflict, humor, advice, support, these are all things the Board does every day. We are a unit, yet we are made up of individuals.

Natural communication is made up of all these things. We should all expect them, respect them and respect each other's rights.

Okay, D, you first.

Can you stop telling other people the best way they should express their anger on the board.

Can you stop telling other people that what they are doing is not right and stop telling other people the best way they can do it.

that's what you did on the other thread.

can you see it or do you just want to be right.

You got it, sorry. You have a right to say what you want, however you want. This is a board where we are trying to avoid abuse, though. Perhaps you are in the wrong spot.

Check,

You are not just expressing yourself.  You are out of control.

No one here is obligated to "listen" to you when you approach them in this manner.  You are upset because you "have to express yourself in an acceptable way" in order to get a hearing.

That's reality.  That's the way the world works.  Granted, sometimes people are hurting and they overreact out of their hurt.  But this is not a momentary over-reaction--this has been going on for over a week.  This is no longer hurt, this is a temper tantrum.

Am I judging you?  Yes, I am.  And it is a fair judgment.  You need to get control of yourself. either here or elsewhere.  Until you do, I am not going to pay anymore attention to your posts than I would to a child having a tantrum.

I generally ignore these threads, but I have to say, my main concern with these people who need to play games and have their ideas be numero uno above everyone else's are detracting from the purpose of the board. Also, I am afraid that those who really need help - the newcomers who are scared enough already and usually in a horrendous situation - are finding that this is a place of further conflict, instead of the haven they need.
Please keep your selfish posts to yourself and take a break from the board if you are only here to "help yourself." We need to be here for others.

Also, as my final word (I refuse to waste my time or others' on this) it is obvious who this member is. She goes through cycles of attacking people on the board. If you look at the pattern of the writing (uppercase and breaking into paragraphs and the style) you can figure it out. I believe almost everyone has been targeted by her at one time or another.

See now, someones gonna come on over hear and complain I'm scaring away the newcomers!

Hypocrites.  Sure, you'll lynch somenoe familiar but the moment someone complains about it, you'll talk about the "newcomers" or the good of the board.

What nonsense.

And don't even comment that I should reveal myself!

Wouldn't I be a fool.  So you can do that same thing to me that you ALWAYS DO??????

You push people away.  You ostracize them.  You gather in groups in the face of their pain.  You create bad people and good people.  You turn a deaf ear to someone who is hurting.   You become righteous and indignant.  You're so loud and full of histronics, you can't hear anything anyone else is saying.  You cower in the corner.  You run away.  You come out fighting.  You take sides.

You do this every single time there is a conflict, big or small.  So predictable.

When will you learn.  When?

You generally ignore these posts?

No, you don't - that's why you're responding.

If you're so sure who it is, why don't you say so, put it on the table and deal with it and stop running away.
