Interesting link about abuse and BPD
« on: October 30, 2007, 05:21:00 PM »
My doctor referred me to a new T, who specializes in abuse, and today was my first appointment.  Ten minutes into the session she had diagnosed my mother as a borderline personality and in about twenty minutes had agreed that she was narcissistic.  She said, "your mother has some real issues.  There's only five personality disorders and she has two."  I found this link today related to BPD and abuse.

I thought I would pass it along, since there's some good info there.

Dear Amber,
When you said the "magic spell" that your M cast on you, that was a perfect description.        Ami

Tay - a psychiatrist I once went to described my NM as "psychotic with islands of functioning". He said this was one of the hardest illnesses to treat. When I read that link you offered, I saw lots of similarities. Also it describes my XN to perfection. Many thanks for the link.
