I am so glad you shared this Hops, I love it.  What an uplilfting person he is, and in such a fun way.

I just looked at David and I don't think he looks deformed at all!!!

He has an interesting face, is smiling, and I expect his eyes are gleaming. To me, it seems like he could be any one of us.

I wonder if not too much was made of the tumour??? His face looks athough it could be symmetrical.

Such is life and our individual take on a particular scenario.

What beautiful responses.

I watched him give a talk to a class of 6th graders.
He starts his talks by getting the audience to say in unison, David, what's wrong with your face?
(But first, he asks them to just look at him for a while, to look at his face curiously.)

Turns out, Izz, they removed his lower lip and he has false teeth, on top of the tumor...but it's very interesting to me that you see his beauty on the outside too!

CB, I saw your face in a pic you posted once...you are lovely. Just lovely.

What an astute analysis you wrote. I love the insight about how you had to learn non-bimbo ways to connect with people because of the dowdy decades...I bet that was very positive. In fact, that may have a lot to do with why you come across with such clarity of heart.
