Those are the sounds of me having to walk on eggshells lately on this board and frankly my feet can't take much more, so if you want to crack eggs on my sidewalk, please reconsider.

thanks so much

Hi Reallyme-

Please forgive my being obtuse- I don't understand what you are saying in your post. It appears that you are cursing. It also refers to people cracking eggs on your sidewalk, etc- could you please explain what you mean in more simple terms?

Thank you,

Changing

Laura-I believe you brought this on yourself this time.  I have read so many of your threads and they are easy to differentiate.  Most are great topics that make us think and provoke engaging conversations.  But some appear to me to be purposefully button pushing and then you pull them.

well, Overcomer, I think you spelled it out...if they seemed to be "button pushing" why WOULD I NOT delete them?

Changing, I have had to defend my vocation (minister), been labeled various weird things, and am at a point that, certain people on here, no matter what I say, unless I agree with them, are going to blast me in some form.  Hence, walking on "eggshells" that I wish they'd keep their eggs in their own territories.

That is what I'm talking about.  Since I don't generally want to name names, that's why my comments sound vague.  If you name names on here, then you are guilty of yet another "crime"

sigh,

~Laura

Hi Reallyme-

You are accepted here as an ordinary normal part of the Board community just like everyone else- I have seen no one label you "various weird things"- please explain. Perhaps this can be sorted out- sometimes I misunderstand things.
I still don't understand your post- I don't read every thread, but I haven't seen you "labeled various weird things" except when you yourself asked what a Bagworm was, and if you were a Bagworm, which is my name for my husband and frankly has never been applied to you. You had also posted that you referred to (labeled) yourself as a Bagworm as a joke- no one here has done this, to my knowledge.
I don't think that anyone has challenged your vocation as a minister either- simply defining the difference between a minister and a pastor, and the difference between a caring friend and a psychotherapist who is doing professional counseling and recommending therapies.
All of these things are worthy pursuits but there are important differences, and again, no one thinks that you are a Bagworm unless you are my husband, which you are not, or any other such silly thing.
I think people support you very much- I know that I do, and wish you well in every aspect.I still don't quite understand the reference to "I wish they'd keep their eggs in their own territories", please explain what this means. Is this some some of forum jargon (this is my first forum).
Please don't worry- no one is labeling you! I hope that you have a great day and continue your quest to help yourself and others.

Love,

Changing

Don't know who you are Amused, but I can agree this is not a good example of a helpful, supportive Board.
It is an aberration.

Are you going to tell the rest of us something about yourself?

Laura, I like your style of communication; its direct but also mostly soft and you display depth and thoughtfulness, which I like. I don't agree with every aspect of every  idea you have, but i have different life experiences and no doubt that feeling is mutual.

I think deleting whole threads where you make rather mean statements about abuse victims, then don't like other people calling you on this,  is having the effect of `shuttng down' people's voices. Its not really in the spirit of a `recovery from voicelessness' forum, is it? Its shows some insecurity, which arouses my sense of empathy for you, but its also offensive to point where it puts me offside at times. Not in a big way, but I a mindful of what it feels like to written off when you are so vulnerable. Your behavior has been labeled as abusive as of late, and I tend to agree.

No need to walk on eggshells, but if enough people are sending you the same message, you could look to some of your behaviour. Not all of it; a lot of your behaviour is great too. By far the Bulk of it, actually.

X  bella

thanks, Bella.  I hear ya.

As for this "amused" person, it could be someone here or it could be a person from my past, as that term "drama" was something we interexchanged between us a lot.

I don't know nor do I care.  Life IS drama.  That's how it is, especially with abusers and abusees being explored, confronted, abandoned, detatched from, and all the other things we do involving these issues.  There is no getting away from the drama of life, Amused.

By the way, Amused, i'd rather have you laughing than being negative anyway.  WElcome aboard!

L-I realized why your behavior before triggered me.  I have always gotten along with you but suddenly your behavior set me off.  Then I realized that you were reminded me of my mom.  (Not that you ARE like her)  She is one who no one can disagree with.  She considers my disagreeing with her=disrespect.  She also polices everyone at work.  She goes around and tries to put out fires and control everyones thoughts and feelings.  If they do not do as she says she wants to fire them-not work stuff.
