I'm feelin' good from my head to my shoes
Know where I'm goin' and I know what to do
I tidied up my point of view
I got a new attitude

Could have not said it better or sang it better then Patti LaBelle,

HERE IS TO YOU KELLY GIRL
love
Deb

I am rooting for me too!  Today I was praying LORD LET ME KEEP THE RIGHT ATTITUDE!  I do not want to be vindictive or mean to my mom.  I just want to be free from her constant disapproval and manipulation.  I hope I get this job because if not I will be back to square one!  But I am hopeful.  He asked me some of those canned questions like NAME A TIME WHEN YOU HAD TO CORRECT AN EMPLOYEE!  I hate those types but I think I did ok.  The bookkeeper told me if I leave she will leave even if no job!

Hiya Deb and OC

I saw those words Deb and it made me think of a song I wrote in the early '90s

I'M FIN'LY OVER YOU
1.)
I woke up this mornin'
hopped out of bed,
Had a shot of caffeine
to clear my head.
Sun was shinin' brighter,
skies were bluer than blue.
This had to be the day
I was over you.

CHORUS
This is the day
I'm Fin'ly Over You.
From here on I'll fly
at a new altitude
Tomorrow I'm lookin'
for somebody new.
This is the day
I'm Finaly Over You.

2.(verse is doubled)
Drove off to work
feelin' free as the wind.
Hit every green light
again and again
Had a funny feelin'
eve'rything was goin' my way.
Holy hoppin' hot Damn
I got a raise in pay
Came home at night
with a new attitude.
lookin' at love
from a new point of view.
A weight had been lifted,
it had to be true.
This was the day.
I was over you.

CHORUS

3.)
Head hit the pillow
 I sighed with relief.
Knew there'd be no problem
fallin' to sleep
Wouldn't even dream
about you and me.
I'm over you;
my heart is finaly free.

CHORUS

TAG
Yes! This is the day
I'm Finaly Over You.

Iz,

I think you may just have a HIT there.  What are you going to do with it?

Love

Thank you Deb and OC

Times have changed so that no matter how good, brilliant, whatever the song is, a general lay person can go no where. I have written over 200 songs and I just sit on them.

One must have good demos (and I have quite a # of demos... $30,000.00 worth) but then I would have to pay an Indie group $100,000.00 to see if they can push the song. It's horrible, for the lowly writer. I know people far better than I am, and they can't go anywhere either. We just have a Lyric Forum and critique each others songs.... just to try to make them better, just for ourselves, a word here, a phrase there, and we can chose to change or leave it the same.

The weird thing is, I wrote this regarding my daughter when I felt I could finally accept her never coming back. I made it a male vocal about a woman. I think that is obvious?

Some of my songs jut have to be female vocals.

Artistic license!!!
xx
