Overcomer
« on: April 22, 2008, 09:40:15 PM »
When my children were given very bad news..... they curled into little balls and were pretending to sleep.

After a little while.... they were told to "wake up!  wake up!"   They uncurled and re awakened.

It was wonderful though they continue to grieve and deal with their loss.... they always will.

Healing takes a lifetime.

You're learning to accept your reality.... it's so painful it's almost impossible to face without turning away and hoping in your mother's direction, now and again.

(((Overcomer)))  I'm so sorry you're going through this bc you surely deserved a loving mother who valued the lovely little girl you were.

You still deserve a loving mother daughter relationship..... it's unfair that she'll never be capable of gifting that to you.

She can't.... or she would.

I hope you find nurturing fulfilling relationships to fill that void..... you're so worthy.

Remember.... people want to like you.

When you feel good..... people sense that.

Your life is before you.... time to embrace it fresh and new..... begin again.

Job hunting is simply opening new doors and walking through them.

Even the ones that don't seem to go your way may introduce someone new.... something worthy into your life.

This is your adventure.

Embrace it and see what tomorrow brings.

::waiting for your update::

Thank you Deb!  I know when I went to my restaurant interview I must not have impressed them at all!  No call-nothing!  I was old enough to be their mother and had more experience than the two of them put together!  I felt like I was at the fraternity for a job interview!  But every time I go to a job interview it is like I get resuscitated!  Today whether I get the job or not-I will be taking those steps needed for independence!  That is what it is-the quest for myself apart from my mom!

ENJOY your interview, Kel!

Take them your most hopeful and positive self!

(They don't know anything about your inner struggles...they will encounter just the happy, independent woman you are bringing to the surface. Strong, hardworking, and full of energy to contribute.)

Love and luck,

And tune into the REALITY of what's positive.
It's there.

You are bringing a lot of positive energy...let the negative just flow out behind you and leave it behind for today.

You're facing forward, and that's a good direction.

You'll do great. I know it.

Well I went to the interview and I feel it went great!  I was articulate and seemed to fit all of the needs of the position!  I would work Monday and friday at the store and be out and about Tues wed and thurs.  One sat a month and no sun.  We did not talk specifics about pay but if it is the same or more I will be there!  Maybe this is Gods way of releasing me and rewarding me for the years of anxiety!

Boy thanks!  I am so psyched about the possibility!  Then I started thinking big-like what if I could make 100k?  That would be great!

Yea!  I am getting there!  I would be so good at this job.  So many jobs expect 55 Hours per week!  I have kids and need a good work and life balance!  This seems so perfect!
