Hi new member
« on: August 17, 2004, 04:10:58 AM »
I am at the stage where I do not want contact with my Npd dad and Bpd mother.

I got to breaking point due to their behaviours while I was pregnant.  I stupidly asked for their help due to a difficult pregnancy and my husband being away from home.

This and crashing off some medication which led to me reliving my childhood trauma was the last straw for me.

I am trying to emotionally detach.  I have managed with my mother but am finding it harder with my father.

I have promised myself to make more use of my answerphone but need support while I am going through this process.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hello Leaf,

welcome and congratulations on bravely posting.  Isn't new telephone technology a wonderful thing?  I used it quite a bit and still do.

You're in the right place and we're ready to listen.  Peace, Seeker

Hi leaf,

------------------------------------------------------

Thanks so much for your insight and support.
It aided my healing. Too much of my heart
was in this post to let it remain here for posterity on the web.
The post served its purpose and now it is time to
edit it or gently take it down.

Hope you live far away from your parents.

This board is great for support.  I hope you have someone in the  3D world to give you hugs.

Here's a virtual hug.    (((((leaf)))))
