Hi Beth--I live in VA!!! Just south of Quantico ( near Kings Dominion for the kids!) and, Believe it or not, they are calling for snow TONIGHT!!! Yep--85 degrees on Monday and snow tonight--go figure!!! I love this state--teach Art--and absolutely love the museums --I'm partial to the National Gallery--but am planning a 3 day trip to NY for my students in May!!!
Lived in Hampton and Norfolk also--gotta love the beach!!! You guys will have so much to do here. I just got home from "First Fridays"--the 1st Friday of each month all the galleries downtown (Richmond) stay open til 10--people are walking and milling about speaking to the artists, enjoying refreshments, musicians playing everywhere--so much fun--if you like the Art scene--definitely check it out!!
My daughters 12, we go to DC at least a couple times each summer--let me know if you need a tour guide!! We get on the Metro in Springfield and call it an adventure!! I wanna see the big fat naked man sculpture at the Hirshhorn (google it) "He" was visiting Germany last time I was there. Have a great move--come quick --the azaleas are in bloom!
