This is for all you sweet people living with N partners
« on: July 10, 2007, 12:26:58 AM »
Hi friends,
I originally thought of my sweet aunt who has lived with an NHusband for over 40 yrs.
He is mean to her everyday. She can't help herself the way she should because she is legally blind.
And you know how most NPartners are...Subtle. He doesn't hit her (not that I know of).
And will reel her back in just when he pushes her to her limit.
But I thought it would be so helpful to all of my friends on this board who have been victimized by an N's cruelty.

I promise if you have been, or are being hurt by NPartners, you will appreciate this song by Keith Urban.
Love & healing to everyone!

Hi Ami,
You know I think you're right. I believe the song speaks to children of N's as well.
I cried for my Aunt when I heard that song, but I also cried for the little mistreated girl I was (and still am, to some extent). I also thought of an ex husband who treated me cruelly.
It's GOOD to be validated, even through a song.
Love you,
Bigalspal

Peace,
I'm so glad you enjoyed the song.
I just wept when I first heard it.
I like the way it's titled "Stupid BOY" not "Stupid MAN"
After all, a REAL man would not treat a woman that way.
My uncle has ALOT of hunting trophies, but  the one trophy he hasn't won, is the most valuable-my aunt's HEART! She's been married to him for over 40 yrs. What misery!
Why do men feel they have to hunt and kill & possess?
Biology? I don't know. I guess I should be fair & say not ALL men are that way. Mine's not. BUT, I had my heart broken so badly before I met him, that I feel I've paid my dues!
Take care friends,
Bigalspal
