my own "MUM"
« on: April 02, 2005, 10:25:25 AM »
hi, Friends.
With all this talk of the Pope's impending death, I wonder if you might send some positive thoughts toward my own mom.  It looks like now she is actively dying, much in the same way the Pope is.  She is a devout Catholic, so she is finding a bit of peace in that, ironically.
In October we were told she had 2 weeks to live, but she fooled everyone. Now, however, it doesn't look hopeful.  I really am not expecting her to "come back" (the old mom was gone a while ago) nor would we want her to.  But a peaceful end is what we can now pray for.
I don't expect sympathy, or even replies, but if those of you who believe in positive thoughts, spiritual energy, prayer, whatever you happen to label it, could send my mommy some peace, I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks

Mum

I will keep your Mom in my prayers.  Her strong faith in God will continue to bring her comfort.  God Bless her and your entire family.

I pray that she won't have any suffering.

Take care of yourself.

Thanks, Mia.  I just read my post (which was written after an emotional phone conversation with my siblings who are with her) and I realize what I wrote didn't sound like what I meant.  The irony is not that she if finding peace in her faith as a Catholic at all (that is definately a help to her), but that the Pope's impending death is somehow a comfort to her (as in all of us return.....even Holy men).
I appreciate your prayers, Mia.  I know  my mom feels them all.

And Bunny... thank you.  Through the drugs, through the toxic dementia, this is what  I know she can feel...........

mum,
Prayers for comfort and peace for you and your mom and your entire family. She is going to a far better place than this one. That is her greatest comfort.

May her passing be painless and full of peace and the comfort of the Lord. May His will be done in her life and in yours; and may He hold you and all who love her close to Him, through this.

Amen.

Happy to join your prayers for your mother, Mum.  And to include you too, at such a difficult time.

Wishing her a peaceful journey, and a safe arrival.

Mum-My thoughts and best intentions are in flight to you and your family.  Whatever she is going through, the LOVE is there, and that is everything.  May you be at peace too.
